Mount Everest is highest Peak in the world
Mount Everest (8814m) is the highest peak of the world. If you have the dream of kissing the highest point of the Earth, remember Monterosa Treks and Expedition. As soon as you land on Nepal, our staff will welcome you at the airport and take you to hotel. Next day, we will have an orientation program about Everest Expedition. After that, we arrange your Tibet Visa and other necessary documents for the Expedition.
You will be heading to the Kathmandu airport, 9 km far from down Town City at 12:10pm to fly to Lhasa. It is perhaps the most beautiful flight in the world above the world highest peak mount Everest and the other charismatic Himalayan ranges. You will reach Gonggar Airport after 1 hour 30 Minutes flight from where Lhasa city is 90km far. You will be taken to hotel for night stay. And, the one following day will be spent on excursions to Potala Palace, The Jokhang monastery and the surrounding Barkhor market, Drepung & Sera Monasteries. It is worthy to adjust ourselves with the very environment.
Lhasa to Shigatse: Driving 380 km you will reach the second biggest city of Tibet, Shigatse. From ABC, the route moves to the east Rongbuk glacier and an easy snowy slope to the North Col at 7070m. Camp 1 is situated here on snow. Camp 2 is to be set up in long angled snow slopes climbing 7900m. Cam 3 is at an altitude of 8300m and the route from camp 2 to camp 3 is quite difficult because of series of the rocks. From Camp 3, we target the north summit and start to climb final summit last evening. We need to climb a series of rocks and a median angled snow slopes where we have to climb on joint rocks and snow until we reach camp heights of 8400m. We should fix the ropes on climbing to reach there. There are also safety lines, which provide you safe place to rest and avoid windy climate as this route is mostly very windy. Now, there will be steeps mixed with rocks and snow steps, so you require very considerable care for yourself, to your clothing and oxygen equipments. After that, the North East Ridge is wider but we should climb small steps with a little bit height until we reach the place to fix our rope.
It is easy again to reach ahead in the second steps. Now the route is in the series of small nude ridge, which sometimes seems snow covered. We should use ladder to climb ahead in the large boulder ahead along with rope. There is a gentle ground above this to reach third step. The fixed rope should be using to the Col before the final summit of snowy slopes. The route is still steep so it needed fixed ropes to go ahead to the buttressed rocks from where there is a short section of corniced ridge to step on the Summit of Mount Everest.
