Everest Panorama Trek is for those who have short time but would like to experience the Everest region and see Mt. Everest, the world's highest mountain, with their own eyes. The journey begins with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Once in Lukla you will follow Dudha Koshi River upstream towards Namche, the capital of Khumbu Valley. The trail goes through Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site, which is home to many rare wild animals. You will pass through the villages of Phakding and Monjo finally leading to Namche Bazaar. Namche is the capital of Khumbu valley, a growing modern town chock-a-block with restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, bakeries and monasteries. A short walk from here will reach you to the national park office and Sagarmatha museum. From Namche you can see many spectacular mountain peaks, especially Thamserku, Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse. A day's walk from Namche will reach Thyanboche monastery, the biggest Buddhist monastery on this side of the Himalaya. Mt. Ama Dablam looks particularly impressive from Thyanboche Monastery, which is the biggest monastery on this side of the Himalaya.
