Annapurna Circuit trek is one of the most popular treks in the famed Annapurna region. As the title suggests, Annapurna Circuit trek make a complete circuit of Annapurna Himalayan ranges. The trek allows you spectacular views Annapurna I (8091m), tenth highest and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), seventh highest mountains in the world. The trek makes a slow transition from low altitude to higher elevation passing through villages, terraced fields and pristine forests full of wild animals. The trail follows the Marshyangdi River for the first stretch and then later Kali Gandaki river. You will be crossing Thorung La pass (5416m), one of the highest Himalayan passes which affords a panorama of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli mountain ranges. Other major highlights include visit to Muktinath (Chumig Gyatsa) temple, Kagbeni and Jomsom, and experiencing world's deepest Kali Gandaki gorge.
The most interesting part of this trek is to encounter with different ethnic groups like Gurungs, Magars, Chhetri, Brahamn and Thakalis. This trek is offers a unique natural diversity of Nepal as the trail mostly passes through Annapurna conservation area which is home to many rare species such as Snow Leopard and Himalayan Black bear.
