This is the most popular and popular trek in Nepal. It is more distinctive than any other treks by its rich culture, beautiful landscapes and natural scenery. This trek leads you to North West of Pokhara through the different villages, landscapes, glaciers, gorges and waterfalls. From the Annapurna Base Camp you will have a close view of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Machhapuchhre.
At the final destination the Annapurna sanctuary (Base camp 4200m) awaits you welcoming patiently. This is a natural amphitheatre, encircled by Mount Annapurna south 7219m, and I, Mount Varahashikhar7847m, Mount Gangapurna 7485m, and Mount Machhapuchhre 6993m. It has the base camp for expeditions as well as favorite place for trekking destination and mountain lovers.
Beginning from Pokhara, you should climb to Dhampus peak (1,463 meters and slowly through. Landruk there is another unique Gurung village, famous for its cultural heritage. Situated on a hill adjacent to Ghandruk and on the other side of the Modi River, Landruk continues to attract tourists from around the globe. At 1,646 meters high, Landruk is also a famous vista, for overlooking the surrounding villages and the Annapurna region south, Hiuchuli and Mount Fishtail.
The villages lie within the Annapurna Conservation Area, the project manages the area and help local communities to better preserve to this region. To reduce the villager's dependency on wood products, alternative energy development programs, micro hydro and solar electrification has been launched there. The sympathy and dedication shown by the people here towards the eco-tourism has made the area all an extra ordinary.
