The Tukuche peak base camp is also reachable by taking a direct flight from Pokhara to Jomsom (2800m.) and trekking to Marpha, Yak Kharka, and Hidden valley. A Swiss team climbed Tukuche (Dhaulagiri Himal - North East of Dhaulagiri) for the first time in 1969. The last successful expedition was conducted by French from North West Ridge in autumn 2003.
