Mount Tilicho peak is a little bit hard to climb than the other mountains having the height of around 7000m. The way to this mountain climbing has two ways up to its base camp. One way goes via Marshyangdi valley route and another way goes via Kali Gandaki valley route. If the team goes through Kali Gandaki valley, then it is very hard to cross the Messo Kanto pass, which is situated at an altitude of 5300m. From the top of this Messo Kanto pass, the tranquil view of Tilicho Lake can be seen.
The base camp is located near Tilicho Lake at 4800m high. It takes a few days rest for you to get well acclimatized at this base camp. Camp 1 is at 5795m is located on a long way afar through the ridges of the mountain. It is little bit harder to climb to reach Camp 1. From there also the panorama of Tilicho Lake down below can be observed.
Camp 2 is located at the high of approximately 6200m and the way is even more difficult to reach at this point. You should use the fixed rope on the way to reach Camp 2. The elevation is about 40 Degree's slope. From Camp 2, the way goes directly to the Top of Tilicho peak. Here, climbing is little bit harder with an elevation of 60 degree up towards Tilicho peak. Sometimes there are chances of avalanches, so your team should be careful at this time while climbing ahead. After reaching the top, you will find the ridge slightly difficult to climb.
