Mt Kailash (Kangri Rimpoche) and Manasarovar (Mapam Yumtso) are two most revered natural sites in Tibet. It is visited by pilgrims of four major faiths, namely Hindus, Buddhists, Jain and Bonpo. Mt. Kailash (6714m.) is considered a holy abode of supreme god Shiva and Parvati by Hindus. The sight of the mountain is enough for Hindu pilgrims achieve salvation or Mokshya. Buddhists on the contrary believe Kangri Rimpoche as the meditation spot of Buddha where he achieved enlightenment. In fact Tibetans have an age old practice of circumambulating Kailash as an ultimate act to enlightenment. In the same manner, Jain followers maintain that their first saint Rishabha Dev earned liberation/freedom meditating on the very mountain.
Located at an altitude of 4580m., Mapam Yumtso or Manasarovar Lake is a freshwater lake situated directly south of Mt Kailash. It is also regarded equally sacred site by the faithful devotees. Mapam Yumtso in Tibetan language means conceived out of god’s mind. While the Sanskrit title ‘Manasarovar’ translates to lake of mind or consciousness. According to Buddhism, it was in this lake Maya Devi bathed before giving birth to Siddhartha Gautama. Hindus maintain that taking a dip in this lake help purge one’s soul from sins and sickness secure place in heaven. Important highlights
- 53 km Kailash Parikrama (Kora) includes walk/trek from Yam Dwar to Chongdo, which is 38km. No car/bus/jeep Service will be available however pony and local porter can be hired for 4 days.
- One should adjust to basic accommodation in guest house, lodge/mud houses during Kailash tour in Manasarovar and Kailash Parikrama
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 month or more from the proposed travel date.
- In Kailash region, there is no temple of Lord Shiva but there is one Ram / Sita / Laxman temple in Khojarnath from Manasarovar Lake which is 85 km far and it take 3 hours go and back to Manasarovar Lake.

- Arrival day evening will be Aarati Darshan Pashupatinath temple with holy tour guide
- Second day morning, Rudra Abhishek, Hawan, Aarati in outside of Pashupatinath gate where Hawan place with 11 braman priests as same dress, chanting Rudrabhishek mantra. Time approximately 2 hours.
- After Rudra Abhishek, special spiritual holy Darshan inside of Pashupatinath Temple with Thali Pure Cow Milk, flower garland, Rudraccha garland (Mala) with Prasad, will do oil Lamp burning to main Shiva ling in Pashupatinath temple offering you through by priest and after offer Prasad and Mala get back to you and your family.
